Blue Heron Bridge – 08/22/12

Southern Puffer

Went to the East side last Wednesday afternoon.  The goal was to find seahorses.  The water was warm and very clear with a mild current. Thank you Linda for acting as guide and showing me several beautiful seahorses, a total of 5 different individulas for the day. I’m showing only three here as the others did not come out well.  Linda also found the cute little green Oxynoe slugs. There was a very large Southern Puffer half buried in the sand that allowed a very close approach. Its eyes always watching, reflected a full rainbow of colors.
