Blue Heron Bridge – 08/01/12

Sleeping Sharpnose Puffer

Spent the first half of the night dive hiding behind a column to avoid the strong current. Ventured out as the current subsided and found a sea spider carrying a load of white eggs on its underside.  I think it was trying to eat a tiny white nudibranch until I came along. There were a lot of sleeping fish, including parrotfish that allowed a close approach. The best subject of the night was a large 3 inch Pleurobranchus Nudibranch on the move.

Love that spider. Shall I assume it is a 10X being used? Absolutely wonderful.
