Jawfish live in holes in the sand and rubble and normally show only their heads, retreating down their hole tail first when approached. Jim found this relatively rare Spotted Jawfish sitting on the sand off the beach area. Then it started digging a new home from scratch. He filmed the process until he ran out of air. This is the abbreviated version.

So much easier to watch Jim’s video than to drive 90 minutes, suit-up, and set up a camera rig. Very enjoyable as usual.

Another awesome video. I watched a Banded Jawfish dig a hold at BHB and it’s fascinating to see.
