Blue Heron Bridge – 03/23/12

A male Banded Jawfish incubating eggs in his mouth.

Here are my photos from today’s dive on the East side.  A striped Burrfish.  A pipefish with fuzz on its nose.  My first encounter with a couple of squat lobsters.  A male Banded Jawfish incubating new eggs. A tiny spotted bumblebee shrimp.  And lastly, the same jawfish I photographed last week.  His eggs are well developed now and almost ready to hatch.  You can see a pair of silver eyes in each egg.
